If in the mornings, he lies next to me uncomfortably akin,
the muse tiptoes on baseboards, ties his shadow to my skin
Then I breathe through my gills
and spoon him with my fins

I'm woman, I tell him, I’m woman, watch me swim

as the tale goes, there is a kind of man who meets me in the clouds
There is a kind man who spots me from the ground

Do I want to fly?
Or do I want to dig?
a melody of the song I often choose to sing

I tell him, if you're Adam, I’m Eve,
if you're Wendy I’m Pan
He doesn’t stir, so I whisper
stay a boy; I’ll grow to be a man

You think I have a choice? To swim or not to swim?

anyways, there’s something about being underwater that is like being
in outer space, I think

I don’t know,
I’ve never been.

the case for human error

  1. Is this AI?

    1. Ha, no! I think part of the case for human error will be showing my edits, hence the inclusion of two versions of The Carpenter and the Rube Goldberg Boy. Neither scene is “finished.” I wrote that tidbit about 4 years ago and decided it would be fun not only to edit it but to show my edits as I go. It’s not explicit on my blog yet since I’m not sure where I’m taking this convention, but that’s the idea. So no, definitely no AI ha

  3. Something different, kooky, weird, its like your abusing words or at least playing with them in ways they were not meant to be. My kind of thing for sure
